     I had the privilege of photographing my dear friend Shannon and her daughter Kallie at their home for an in-home lifestyle session in Lakeside near San Diego, California. One of their favorite activities to do together is baking. Watching them interact, it was clear that they have an incredibly special bond. Kallie absolutely adores her mother and constantly looked to her for guidance and advice while they were baking. They have a beautiful relationship that is filled with silliness, laughter, and love. Kallie has a self-proclaimed love for all things unicorn and glitter, so it was completely necessary that their cupcake creations had to be in colorful zebra-striped baking wrappers and topped with loads of colorful sprinkles! Kallie is so proud of their colorful sprinkles collection and had to use every color sprinkle they owned to top her cupcakes! Shannon is one of the most big-hearted people I know and has quite a zoo at their house from all the abandoned animals she has taken in. Even with all these critters, Kallie still wanted more, so she got a new pet hamster named Gus Gus. Watching Kallie interact with warmth and love towards the animals around her home, it was clear that she has inherited her mother's heart for loving animals.
