Aren't aerial artists so incredibly talented? As a completely uncoordinated person, I'm so awe-struck when I see circus performers do tricks high above a crowd, balance on a tight rope, do flips from a hoop, all while looking graceful and at ease. Julia Ruth and I met through the San Diego Circus Center, where she sometimes performs. She specializes in tight rope walking, the lyra (aerial hoop), aerial silks, and stilt walking. She was a total natural under the water, even while she was fighting her hair from flowing into her face! Her images are some of my all time favorites and Julia was so blown away by them!
